From what Congolese insiders seem to be saying, the news is only reporting the tip of the iceberg of what is actually happening to suppress opposition voters.
I don’t know what the coming days will bring for Congo, but I do know that the people deserve better. The worst of our election drama in the U.S. (and it is pretty verbally ugly for the most part) doesn’t compare.
I want to bring my children home safely and soon. Congo Supreme Court makes official offical election announcement 12/17. Doubt that much will happen to progress my case any further before then.
