From what Congolese insiders seem to be saying, the news is only reporting the tip of the iceberg of what is actually happening to suppress opposition voters.
I don’t know what the coming days will bring for Congo, but I do know that the people deserve better. The worst of our election drama in the U.S. (and it is pretty verbally ugly for the most part) doesn’t compare.

Nothing is happening at the moment in terms of progress on the adoption front. The whole country is at a standstill, bracing for the worst. It’s hard to be far away and powerless.
